Is coinigy worth it? Let’s discuss this question in detail to give you all the answers you need, so you can make a decision for yourself.
After 4 months of actively trading cryptos, I came to the conclusion that for me a professional tool for technical analysis (TA) was really missing. Although I had been doing quite well, I saw that there was space for optimisation. When I could act more efficiently and also do better analysis, I could for sure reach higher profits.
My Trading Problem – And How To Trade Better?!!
What I often did was browser tab hopping between Bittrex, Poloniex and Cryptopia when it came to altcoin trading. For instance, when I was in a trade on Poloniex, it mostly happened that I watched the chart on Bittrex at the same time, simply because I find this chart way better than the one on Poloniex.com. But actually both aren’t really suitable for professional analysis. You can check the reasons why in our reviews about the platforms. Also hopping between tabs when it’s getting hot is really stressful! When I compared this confusing style of trading with using coinigy afterwards, I got pretty sure that I would have (re-)acted differently in some trades, based on the coinigy in-depth analysis and usability of the platform.
I’m sure this was exactly the intention of Coinigy’s founders, Robert Border and William Kehl — Help Bitcoin traders optimize and simplify their jobs.
The Edge of Free Chart Platforms
When it only comes to Bitcoin, you have a lot of tools and indicators on bitcoinwisdom.com and cryptowat.ch, which enable a relatively professional technical analysis. They offer the Bitcoin charts of a selection of certain exchanges. Cryptowat.ch even offers the most important altcoin charts of some exchanges. But of course you cannot check the chart of just any coin on any exchange on those sites.
And here comes one of the big benefits: On Coinigy.com you get simply all crypto charts of all platforms available. At least it seems like, so far I’ve not noticed that something is missing.
So you can check all altcoins listed on Poloniex.com but finally in a professional chart with all timeframe settings, all tools you can imagine, and the platform is also performing fast. The latter is really refreshing, when you know how it is to wait for Poloniex to finally react again, when the platform is hanging.. You could really fly into a rage!
Higher Profits by More Competence
Already on my second morning after my signup, I was so excited about what I’d be going to analyse today. A lot of coins I had been watching or where I was even in a trade, I could finally check out in a reasonable chart with the Ichimoku Indicators and a great Fibonacci tool in different colours, for instance, that would easily show me the higher levels of potential future targets. Other than I could get from certain charts on exchanges. Actually they have so many tools, that I don’t know all of them yet. But for me it’ll be exciting to get deeper knowledge by learing about them.
With professional tools and own knowledge you make sure you can trade profitably yourself and aren’t dependent from other people’s hints all the time.
Coinigy.com Enables Professional Technical Analysis for ALL ALTCOINS on All Exchanges
The Ichimoku Cloud
One of the most used indicators for technical analysis is the Ichimoku cloud. As far as I know, most pro traders use a mixture of the following indicators to make trade decisions: Fibonacchi levels, trendlines, support and resistance levels and the Ichimoku cloud. At least I do so, and other people I know. And on Coinigy you finally also get the ichimoku cloud for every single altcoin that exists, even for all on Cryptopia.
To be able to observe each cryptocurrency with in-depth analysis indicators on a fast performing platform makes you trade more efficiently. That’s what I learned for myself.
Of course you can change all settings such as the periods for the lines, you can hide each of the lines, change the colours and intensity – just make it work for you.
If you want to check out a coin, you just need to choose one of the exchanges where it’s listed and do your analysis. A pretty cool feature is Coinigy’s compare tool, which allows you to compare the performances of a coin on different platforms or to compare two different coins by overlaying indicators.
You can also view any time frame you want very quickly, which is useful for long or short term price action estimations.
On top of the chart window you can check candle sticks on any time frame with detail data about open and close prices, high, low and volume for each candle. Furthermore the third button allows you to check out the market depth. The data may only be delayed by up to 15s.
Price Alerts
The price alert service is one of the most helpful tools when it comes to efficiency. On Coinigy.com you can set price alerts for any exchange and any coin, so you will never miss a trade, no matter where you are and which platform you’re using for the specific trade. What I like is getting all from one place — even if the different platforms should also offer price alerts. But with Coinigy you have this one single tool, just one place, where you check out everything.
Efficient and Time Saving Cryptocurrency Trading
Trade any Coin on any Exchange
The biggest benefit of all on top is of course the option to trade directly on Coinigy.com. So you don’t need to login to different platforms when trading this coin here and that coin there.. It can get kind of stress when trading on different platforms at the same time. As in my case – I often used 2 platforms at the same time to observe one coin. Just because I was trading on Polo where the chart really sucks.. so I used the Bittrex chart. This problem for me is solved with coinigy.
Features at a glance:
Coinigy.com Mobile App
For mobile traders it’s also perfect, because the service of course has an in-house app with all functionality included, so you never miss a trade.
Trading Fees
Coinigy.com doesn’t charge any fees on your trades. Of course this would be a big downside, but fortunately it’s not.
The only thing you pay is your fixed subscription price. Before I checked out Coinigy and signed up I had always been thinking it must be more expensive. $15 a month was suprising for me, so I din’t hesitate anymore to signup. The best thing is that you even have the 30 days trial period, so there is nothing to lose at all. Of course trading doesn’t work without payed subscription, so if you want to try the efficent cross-plattform trading, then you have to at least pay for a month.
The reason why I had been thinking Coinigy must be more expensive, was that I had already paying for different services within the field of Bitcoin trading, and other things did cost a lot more.
The available payment methods are Bitcoin or Credit Card.
Anonymity
You can use Coinigy completely anonymously. You can signup just with a username, password and an e-mail address and simply pay with Bitcoin instead of Credit Card. Signing up is easy and fast.
Security
Like all serious trading platforms, Coinigy.com offers a 2-factor-authentication with Google Authenticator, to ensure the highest level of security possible.
References
There are actually a lot of traders recommending the professional crypto cross-trading and analysis platform. It’s also known from coindesk. That’s why I had been knowing for a while that the service exists. I just hadn’t been ready to finally try it out. You don’t immediately start with the complete perfect setup. At the beginning, you slowly get one tool after the other while learing how to trade. You can also check out this page on reddit about Coinigy, but as it’s from last year you can be sure that the service is way more known right now.
But try it for yourself – simply signup for the 30 days free trial.
